Plan your clients' work.
Track every hour.
Know what it's worth.

For freelancers and small studios with more than one client. Give the work a time on your day, track it with one tap, send each client their hours, quote the next project from what the last one really took, and share it all with the people you work with.

  • Clients, timer, hours and quotes in one place
  • On your own or as a team
  • Your data is yours to export or delete

Who it's for

On your own, or with a team

Freelance developers, designers, consultants and writers, and the small studios they build. Same app, same clients, whether it's one person or five.

Working on your own

Several clients, their deadlines, and the hours you owe each one a report on.

  • Plan each client's work on your day, in their colour
  • Track time with one tap, or type it in afterwards
  • Send each client their hours as a PDF
  • Quote new work from what similar work really took

Working with a team

A studio of a few people, or a freelancer who brings in help.

  • Share a client or a single project with your team
  • Owner, manager, member or viewer: each sees what fits
  • Assign tasks, talk in comments, see what changed
  • Hours per person, and what each subcontractor is owed

How it works

Plan, track, report, quote

A small loop that keeps every client's work moving, turns your days into hours you can show, and makes the next estimate better than the last.

  1. 01

    Plan

Give each client a colour and a rate. Start the day with what's in progress and give the rest a time slot, or assign it to someone on your team.

  2. 02

    Track

Press ▶ on the block you're starting and the timer runs, on every page and on your phone. Switch tasks and it follows; finish one and it stops.

  3. 03

    Report

At the end of the week, the Hours page shows each client's time and what it's worth, per person in a team. Send the PDF or take the CSV.

  4. 04

    Quote

When a client asks for more, start the quote from what similar work really took, with a margin for how far your estimates usually run over.

Inside the app

The screens you'll use every week

Each one answers a single question: what's next, where did the hours go, what should this cost, and who's doing what.

Today and the timeline

Give every task a when

Open the app and the day is laid out: the schedule on one side; the work in progress and the tasks still waiting for a slot on the other. Drag a task onto the hour you'll do it, and move it when plans change.

  • Snaps to 15 minutes, each block in its client's colour
  • A timer next to every task, planned time next to tracked
  • A week view, and a morning and evening reminder if you want them

Hours

Where the week went, and what it's worth

Every session the timer records, or that you type in, lands on the Hours page: per client and task, for any week or month, with the amount at each client's rate.

  • Amounts in each client's own currency, never mixed
  • A PDF to send the client, a CSV for your invoicing tool
  • In a team: hours per person, what each is owed and your margin

Quotes

Price new work from what the last job really took

List what a new project involves and the hours each part should take, or add the client's finished work and start from its real time. Then add a margin for the unexpected and send the price.

  • Past work for the client, with tracked time, one click away
  • A suggested margin when your estimates usually run over
  • A PDF to send, and an accepted quote becomes the project

Teams

Bring people in without losing track

Invite people by email and share a client, or one project, with the team. Each person sees what their role allows, assigned tasks land on their own day, and the team page shows what changed while you were busy.

  • Owners, managers, members and viewers
  • Comments on shared tasks, and a bell for what concerns you
  • Pay rates for subcontractors, never on the client's PDF

Board

See where every client's work stands

One board for everything, or one per client, project or person. Move a card when its status changes and the rest of the app follows: done on the board means done everywhere.

  • To do, In progress, Blocked and Done
  • Filter by client, project and who it's assigned to
  • Blocked cards keep what you're waiting on, and for how long

On your phone

Your day and your timer, in your pocket

Client calls happen away from the desk. The whole app works with one thumb, and it taps you on the shoulder when something needs you.

  • A tab bar under your thumb Today, Timeline, Board and Habits are one tap away, with everything else under More.
  • Tap a task, see what you can do Start its timer, log time you forgot, mark it done or move it on the timeline, without hunting for small buttons.
  • The timer stays in sight A running timer sits at the bottom of every screen with a stop button, so it never runs on by accident.
  • Told when it matters A task about to start, what's due today, a task assigned to you or a comment on yours. Each kind has its own switch.

Also included

The small things that keep it going

Planned against tracked

A block on the timeline is your estimate; the timer is what it really took. Every task shows both, so you learn how long client work takes.

Habits on your days

An admin hour on Fridays, a run three times a week. Habits show up on the right days, with their own streaks.

Reminders by email or push

A morning nudge to plan and an evening one to review, in your own time zone, each with its own switch.

In English and Portuguese

The whole app, its emails and its PDFs in either language, in a light or a dark theme.

Your data is yours

No ads and no selling your data. Download everything as a PDF or JSON file, or delete your account, at any time.

Energy, on the side

Optional and off until you turn it on: one tap at the end of the day to see how you feel on the days you get things done.

Questions

The things people ask first

How is this different from a time tracker?

A time tracker only sees the hours. Mood Logger also plans them: you give client work a time on the day, see what's waiting on whom on a board, and start the timer from the same block. At the end of the week the hours are already there, per client, and the next quote can start from what similar work really took.

Can I work with other people?

Yes. Create a team, invite people by email and share a client, or a single project, with it. Everyone sees that work, and roles decide the rest: owners and managers assign tasks and see rates, amounts and everyone's hours; members add tasks, take them on and track their own time; viewers only look. Shared tasks have comments, the team page shows what happened, and you can set what you pay each subcontractor per hour. Everything you don't share stays private.

How do quotes work?

List the work for a new project with the hours each part should take, or add finished work for that client and start from the time it really took. If your tasks for that client usually run over plan, the quote suggests a margin to cover it. The price comes from the client's rate, you download a PDF to send, and an accepted quote becomes a project with a task for each part.

Can I send my hours to a client?

Yes. The Hours page shows any week or month per client and task, with the amount at that client's rate. Download it as a PDF to send, or as a CSV for your spreadsheet or invoicing tool. Mood Logger doesn't send invoices; it gives you the hours to put on them.

What if I forget to start the timer?

Add the time afterwards on the task: type 1h 30m, 1:30 or 90 and it's saved for that day. You can also edit or delete any session the timer recorded.

Can I use it on my phone?

Yes, it's built for it. A tab bar keeps Today, Timeline, Board and Habits under your thumb, tapping a task opens its actions, and the running timer stays on screen wherever you are. Add it to your home screen and it opens like an app.

What happens to my data?

We store it so the app can show it back to you, and teammates only see what you share with them. We don't run ads and we don't sell your data. You can download everything from your Account page at any time, or delete your account and all of it with it.
